Matchpoint Champ is a grassroots Minecraft PvP cup — five weekends, thirty-two crews, one handmade trophy. Started in 2022 with sixteen friends and a lag spike.

Built by players

Matchpoint started as a Saturday-night invitational in a friend's server. It still runs on handshakes, homemade trophies, and a Google sheet somewhere.

Five Saturdays. Thirty-two crews. One real, physical trophy that lives on the winner's desk until next spring. No points ladder. No qualifiers. Just matches.

Any 4-player squad with verified accounts. Must be 16+ or have guardian consent. Solo players can enter the queue and we'll pair you with teammates based on rank and timezone.
Group stage seeds 64 teams into a single-elimination bracket. Best-of-3 through quarters, best-of-5 from semis onward. All matches run on v1.20.4 with anti-cheat enforced.
Every match streams on the official channel. Community casters co-stream via the partner program. Full VODs go up within 24 hours of each day's play.
No. Free to enter, community-funded, community-run. Prize money comes from sponsors and a portion of merch sales.
Client modifications, coordination with external tools, and any exploit of server bugs. Full ruleset in the rulebook. Violations are reviewed by the admin panel within 24 hours.
